  • Reporting: With this release, all cost values in the cost chart are now rounded to a sensible length (max two digits)
  • Integration: We fixed the issue where both the ServiceNow and Signavio Sync created and deleted relations and objects over and over again. Now, exactly the required amount of synchronizations for objects and relations is triggered and resolved.
  • Inventory: We fixed the bad display of filters in "Choose columns" in the table view. Before, if the subscription name or subscription role name was long the "eye" icon was displayed badly. This is fixed now.

  • Visualizer: In the Data Flow, you can now show interfaces or drill down on related Fact Sheets by using a filter. To do that right-click on an element (or a set of selected elements) and select the specific menu option, either "Show interfaces by filter" or "Drill down by filter" as shown in the screencast below.
  • Visualizer: With this release, you can now show dependencies, drill down or roll up on related Fact Sheets by using a filter in the Free Drawing. Similar to how it works in the Data Flow just right-click on an element (or a set of selected elements) and select the specific menu option, either "Show dependencies by filter", "Drill down by filter" or "Roll up by filter".

  • Data Flow: We disabled unreasonable actions like copy, paste, duplicate only for Fact Sheet shapes. Other shapes like e.g. the cloud shape can still be copied, pasted and duplicated.

  • Pivio Integration: The archiving and recreation of Fact Sheets now works as expected. IT components are now only removed when they are really no longer in use. In addition, the Synclog only displays relevant changes, e.g. when the library constellation is changed.
  • Signavio Integration: This version fixes the bug that sometimes several glossary elements were created on the Signavio page, although only one element should be created.

  • Inventory: With this release, we improved the scrolling in the table view of a Fact Sheet in different ways:
    • We moved the scroll bar to where the scrolling is happening - from the window view to the Fact Sheets table view.
    • The header of the table is now fixed to the top of the page and therefore viewable, even when scrolling down.
    • Overflowed content is no longer cut off but displayed within the table cells.

Bugfix

  • Integration: This release fixes an error, where also archived Fact Sheets were returned when importing software dependencies from Pivio. To fix this we also added a new status parameter on the graphQL query 'factSheets'.

Improvement

  • Integration: This release enables configuration of external links from a Fact Sheet to Signavio, both for links on the right-hand side of the Fact Sheet and in the documents tab of the Fact Sheet. Additionally, changes that are made to the data model regarding those links are now also synchronized for existing Fact Sheets after doing a full sync.

Bugfixes

  • Inventory: With this release, we prevent an error which occurs sometimes when viewing Fact Sheet subscriptions after importing data. Also, Export and Import now work as expected and do not create subscriptions with non-existing user_ids anymore.
  • Visualizer: It is no longer possible to perform unreasonable actions such as duplicating applications or disconnecting interfaces in the Data Flow diagram. We prevent those actions because the Data Flow is used to view connections between Applications and Interfaces, but not to remodel them. To ensure consistency those unreasonable actions are no longer supported.

Improvements

  • Inventory: With this release, we optimized the overall performance and memory usage of the inventory filter by 25% for filters with low/medium complexity to up to 80% for filters with high complexity. Alongside this optimization, we also slightly adjusted the behavior of the filter to improve the user experience, as shown in the examples below.

Previous to this release, for a selection in a filter facet with a fixed number of facet entries (e.g. Business Criticality), all other facets entries were treated as if no filter was set. Now, only the count of hits for the selection made is shown.

Before this release, for a selection in a filter facet with a dynamic number of facet entries (e.g. User Groups) all other entries were also treated as if there was no filter set. Now the selected facet entry is moved to the top of the facet and only the value for the selected facet is displayed. Additionally, the remaining facet entries are now displayed and sorted by their count based on the applied filter. Only entries in the sub-quantity of the checked entry are shown. E.g. in the Screenshot below France is checked and has a count of 14. As the filter now also applies within the facet the entries shown beneath are all positive hits within the total of 14. To translate the result further, that means that in total there are 14 applications with the user group France. The largest sub-quantity of those are also associated with Australia, the least with Headquarters. The most obvious thing two notice in the screenshots is, that on the right the USA is not in the sub-quantity of France and instead Poland is shown.

  • Reporting: Changes to the table configuration in reporting (e.g. adding a column) are now also saved to the bookmark. This means, the table view is now properly restored when loading a reporting bookmark.

Bugfixes

  • Inventory: This release fixes a bug where after deleting a parent Fact Sheet the display name of the child Fact Sheet was displayed incorrectly. Before the bug was that after deleting the parent Fact Sheet the child had the display name Parent_<deleted>__... / Child when it was supposed to appear as Child. This is fixed now.

  • Visualizer: In the Data Flow report, we now prevent a drill-down to nodes that are not application type fact sheets. The reason for this is that the Data Flow report is all about representing the data flow between applications via interfaces. For example, the user can drill-down an application to display the IT components it uses. However, it is not possible to break down these IT components further, to prevent applications from appearing nested as child nodes nested in other nodes since this is not the intention of the Data Flow Visualizer.

  • Visualizer: This version brings new improvements in the update functionality of the Visualizer:
    • When the Visualizer is switched to editing mode, all items (edges now as well as nodes) which would be removed by a refresh are now marked for removal with a red 'deleted' icon.
    • 'Check for updates' and 'Refresh' now also checks if items within a drill-down are still connected to their parent through a relation. If not, such a child item will be marked for removal and removed on refresh.
  • Visualizer: The 'Select by filter' now also works for edges that are not or only partially connected to a Fact Sheet. They are now included in the filter modal and can be selected in the diagram.

Others

  • Reporting Framework: Configured colors and icons (FieldMetaData) are now available to custom reports. This allows the developers to reuse the same colors and icons, which allows them to create reports that look and feel more like LeanIX.

  • Visualizer: Changes of the Data Flow direction of a Fact Sheet of type Interface are now also reflected when running a refresh by clicking on "Refresh". Once the direction between two Interfaces changed, the Fact Sheet positions in the Visualizer switch accordingly.
  • Visualizer: The refresh algorithm now detects no longer valid relationships that have been created via drill down or rollup. For example, when you have drilled down on the children of a Fact Sheet and the Parent-Child connection no longer exists in the Inventory, the refresh would remove the child from the parents' container box.
  • Reporting: Views for fields of type SINGLE_SELECT can now be configured in terms of how they aggregate values ("MIN", "MAX", "OFF"). For more information visit our documentation.

Bug Fixes:

  • Reporting: The load performance of the world map reports (Application Usage, Application Sourcing, IT Component Location) has been improved. Previously, some browsers (e.g. Firefox) canceled the calculation and the report was not displayed if the calculation took too long due to too large data sets. This is fixed now.
  • CMDB Integration: We have fixed the synchronization errors when two Fact Sheets have the same external ID. If in the past several Fact Sheets were found for the same external ID, all redundant Fact Sheets were taken into account. Now, when several Fact Sheets are found for an external ID, only the active Fact Sheets are considered. If more than one Fact Sheet is available, the synchronization of the current master item is skipped and a message is written to the synclog to allow the user to update the item.
  • Metrics: The LeanIX Fact Sheet now contains current metric data from pingdom.
  • Inventory: The N/A filter for relations combined with a time filter is now working as expected and returns the correct Fact Sheets.

  • Inventory: Up to now, the period in which a relation between Fact Sheets is valid (activeFrom/activeUntil) was not considered for the Inventory filtering options. For example, if the active applications were filtered, the period in which they are active was not considered.   • Security: We are introducing an idle timeout detection. Therefore users will now get automatically logged out of LeanIX after one hour of inactivity. The idle timeout duration can be easily configured by the admin in the administration section of LeanIX under "Settings" - "Idle Timeout Duration".   • Visualizer: When opening the Visualizer, you can now jump into a saved report. Now a saved report always opens read-only, click on “Edit” (top right) to start your work. Bugfixes

  • Surveys: The run of a survey can be configured to check for changes, e.g. new Fact Sheets which are included by a filter. A recurring job once a day usually checks for these changes. This job was not working well for some workspaces. E-Mail notifications are sent out again and Todos on the Dashboard are being created.
  • Surveys: Users are informed about required answers to surveys using a Todo on the LeanIX Home screen. Too many Todos were created for surveys, also in some cases for not yet started surveys. The invalid Todo's have been removed, only valid Todo's are now created.
  • Inventory: The location filter in the filter facets now includes the full location hierarchy, i.e. selecting 'Germany' also reveals results like 'Germany / Berlin' and 'Germany / Munich'.
  • Notifications: The correct language is now selected for notification E-Mails. The logic is: Take the Language setting in the following order where the first one set has precedence over later settings: 1. User settings, 2. Workspace settings, 3. Contract settings, 4. Account settings, 5. Default.
  • Inventory: When importing new subscriptions for non-existing users via the Excel-Import, this could cause an error. Now you can add multiple new users in a single line via the Excel-Import.
  • Inventory: The list view for the inventory does not throw an error anymore while scrolling.
  • Inventory: Only show filters which are enabled in the Fact Sheet, i.e. if a relation is not visible in the Fact Sheet it cannot be filtered.
  • Inventory: Filtering by Quality Seal state in table view was not always returning the expected result.
  • General: In case an error is shown, e.g. due to network issues, only one red error box is displayed instead of many errors.
